Ending the summer with a bang!

Summer is over. I cannot believe tonight is actually a school night. Last night was my final day to finish off my bucket list. First we enjoyed joining a huge group in covering each other from head to toes in chocolate syrup and going down a massive slide! It was by far one of the best moments of summer! I loved it! Even though I don't like chocolate because it smells bad and tastes even worst, it was still so so so so much fun! I highly recommend it.
I am absolutely in love with this girl!

Why use hair jell when you've got chocolate?

While driving home I had chocolate dripping down my face. This horrified the two 30 ish year old men in the car next to us because they thought it was blood. They started screaming out their windows, "GO TO THE HOSPITAL!" It was hilarious.

Next we played twister paint! All you gotta do is get a twister board, put paint on the dots, and begin the slimy challenge of putting your left foot on blue and your right foot on yellow!

There's Kami, Haley, Hailey, Alyssa!

After being covered in chocolate, hosing ourselves off, being covered in paint, then running through sprinklers, we decided to go jump into a pool. This is where we got really lucky.

The blonds decided to stay in the car while us brunettes began walking over to the pool. Right when we were grabbing at the fence to climb up we look at the parking lot to find Hailey starting to run from a cop car. First rule, when you see a cop stay where you are! We let go of the fence and as calmly and innocently as possible began walking back to my car while the officer talked to Hailey and Kami. They drive off and it's my turn to chat. He looked at me with that same horrified look and I explained it was chocolate not blood! After a little bit of me chit chatting with him he told us the park was closed and we needed to leave. We hurried out and called the other two girls. They thought we were dead meat! The night ended with us almost jumping into my friends nasty pond (we were just too freezing to do it), eating cheese crackers with apple sauce (my dad's favorite thing ever), and taking a really long shower!

This has been such a fun and exciting summer! I really hope senior year is half as good as this summer has been!

Lessons Learned

Time for a list of things I've learned this past week.

1. Friends are one of the most important things in the world.

2. It's essential that you constantly let people know that you truly love them.

3. When the going gets tough call Alyssa and eat frozen yogurt.

4. Flowers can completely make my day any day.

5. Coaches know what they are talking about so ask them before you assume something.

6. Your parents are and always will be your best friend.

7. Prayer changes things.

8. Country dancing is absolutely my new favorite thing to do on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

9. Grass hoppers are not meant to be eaten so don't bribe Alexis or she will do it!

10. Never stay and watch people drink a gallon of milk in 30 minutes.

11. Mother knows best.

12. I am one very very luck girl.

Hennas and Boating DON'T Mix

There is one more week of my 2012 summer. I cannot believe how fast summer has gone by. I'll admit this week wasn't the best of the summer but it still had it's amazing moments.

Alyssa, Alexis, and I decided to cross henna tattoos off my bucket list on Tuesday. We went to hobby lobby, got some top it frozen yogurt, then went to work inking ourselves. At first Alyssa was responsible and made sure we didn't go too crazy. We each got a turtle tattoo on our wrist....then Alyssa left and things got out of control! Alexis and I didn't want to waste any ink so we just kept going! We decided to write mom on her arm, draw Utah on my neck, then we really got stupid and wrote our crush's names on our stomach. Okay, here's some advice. When doing henna tattoos or any tattoos don't write a boys name on yourself. The reason I say this is because a good 3 days later I went boating with these boys! OOPS!!!!!! Alyssa missed picture taking up she was definitely involved in this crime!

Boating ended up being great, even though Sarah was teasing me about what was written on my stomach the whole time. Luckily Mitch has no idea his name is on there with the i dotted with a heart and everything! Thanks for taking us boating Dad!
Here's the crew!

Two Freakin Funny Girls!

It's no secret that I love making cakes! Cake makes everyone happy and hyper. It just does. Kimi came up with the idea to make a cake for a really good friend of ours so we grabbed Claire and the three of us went to town! Claire spent the whole time eating the frosting while I helped Kimi stay focused and made sure she didn't do the same thing twice..cough cough
My good friends Kimi and Claire sadly haven't gotten a chance to show their faces to the blogging world so I promised I would help them out. When they found out I had a blog they made me take pictures of our cute cake making session. I, of course, was not going to complain. I whipped out my camera and here they are!

Please notice that we unintentionally are all matching. Weird right!?!?!

Next we just started putting things in a microwave. No our best idea but it was still entertaining! The movie won't work but just a tip...putting soap in the microwave is fun until your house smells like burnt smelly nasty stuff!

We aren't much of planners...

Mt. Olympus is a tough one! I started this summer with a big only bucket list of things to get done and well this one I didn't plan for very well. One morning Mary and I couldn't decide what to do. I looked at my bucket list and decided that it was time to cross Mt. Olympus off the list. We put on some hiking shoes, sports bras, tank tops, running shorts, 1 water bottle each, a small snack, and ran out the door. This was our first mistake....when hiking a huge Mountain bring more than one water bottle per person. We soon found we needed at least 3! Our next mistake was starting this hike at 12:30 in the afternoon on a 97 degree day. Yes, we are idiots!
At first we were doing really well! Feeling pretty good about ourselves!
See we are about 30 minutes into it...we thought that meant we were about a third of the way up.....

After about an hour of hiking the heat was killing us! Mary had taken off her shirt and I followed after 10 minutes. Of course, as soon as the shirts came off we saw the first people we had seen since we started the hike.....2 hours of hiking went by and we thought we were close to the top. Then a very nice man informed us we had another hour and half to go.

Picture this. Two teenage girls, no shirts, out of water, in the middle of the day, on a mountain, thinking they were almost done, then being told they had just barely made the half way point. It was not a pretty sight.

We made the smart choice of turning around and getting some water in us. I was super bummed and frustrated but it just wasn't safe to go the rest without water or food.
On the way down we had a photo shoot :)

YOLO We will just have to try again when we are more prepared!
