We Have Arrived!

I am happy to announce that after stopping six times we have finally made it to Phoenix, Arizona! Words cannot describe how happy I was to get here 1- because Mary and I both desperately needed a bathroom and 2- because sitting still in a car for 13 hours is a big challenge for me! But now that we have made it I'm SO ready to spend the rest of my week soaking up some serious sun and going down a couple of water slides. I wish more people in my family could have come. But Mark, Sue, Heather, Jill, Mary and I are ready to live it up!!! Happy Birthday Ryan!! I hope everyone has a great conference weekend/spring break!

Our first stop was after about 15 seconds of driving. So while the van was getting a little minor fix Heather and Jill donated some blood then we were back on the road!

Third was just a random bathroom break at some very random museum. Please ignore the fact that I look like a hobo without make up, a brush, or real pants.

This is what happens after seven hours of driving. Marvin and I had to get some energy out at the museum so we walked around the movie set and made Mark take some pictures

 

The Temple!

 This week in seminary our teacher challenged everyone in the class to go to the temple at least once this week. I love going to the temple so this was a pretty easy challenge for me. Sometimes I just go to the temple to think and look at pictures because that's the one place on this earth where I feel the most calm. I love just walking around the temple grounds! Today I decided to bring Hailey along with me. As soon as school ended we hopped in my cute old car and headed downtown!

As Hailey and I walked around we had a deep converstation and decided we both know that this is exactly where we want to be able to get married...not to eachother of course but ya know. Sharing those moments with my friends is the best! The temple is amazing! You don't even have to go inside to feel the spirit and know that it is so so so special.

KELLY...NEED I SAY MORE?

Yesterday I got to go to the Kelly Clakson concert! It was pretty much a blast. I'm so happy that I invited a good friend of mine named Kimi. At the same time I'm a bit upset my whole family couldn't go....but my parents were in Hawaii instead so I can't feel too bad for them! If you haven't completely fallen in love with Kelly's "Stronger" CD then something is clearly wrong with you! I recommend rolling down your windows, turning your radio up, and letting Kelly do her thing! Trust me you'll love it!

Post-ACT

The ACT really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.......for the first 2 hours then we had a break. After the break we got back and the actually hard part kicked in....I got a bit lazy during the reading and science sections so I probably didn't do as well as I could have. Can I just say the science section isn't even science?!? No, it's just figuring out graphs and charts. No science needed. The reading part was just really long and boring so I just decided to wing it. I read some of it but it was just too long. I get my score back in 3-8 weeks so hopefully it's not too bad.

Today I started another session of learn to skate and of course I was given a child that doesn't speak english..I don't think he speaks any language actually. He had no clue what I was sayin! It's hard to get him to figure it out and pay attention to 8 other kids....hopefully I will get a helper next week.

Pre-ACT

The ACT is pretty much a huge test that tells colleges if you're smart enough to go to their school. Tomorrow every junior at Brighton High School will start the test at exactly 7:30 and will finish at 11:30. Studying for this baby is pretty much the most impossible thing I've ever tried to get myself to do. Focusing on learning how to take a test is not exactly my idea of fun. From what I've heard the biggest part of the test is just managing your time wisely. I'm not a very good test taker ESPECIALLY when it's timed. Yes, I am completely freaking out. Tomorrow is going to be the death of me! WISH ME LUCK! FEEL FREE TO PRAY FOR ME!

(PS: Brighton Bengals got 2nd place in state. It was an upsetting game but we did really well!)

It's nights like these when I never want to leave high school!

DON'T WORRY WE WON!!!!!!

AND WE ARE GOING TO KICK BUTT AGAIN TONIGHT!

Ask me if I'm pumped and ready for the big brighton vs. lone peak game tonight. Just ask me. YES I AM! Last night we won our game so we are officially one game away from going to state. But don't even get me started about the refs last night. Yeah how many times can you say blind/bias/stupid in the same sentence! Nobody knows where my random love for basketball came from...It might help that I have a crush on at least half the team.....but I was screaming the whole game and I'm ready to go all out tonight!

I went to the game with my closest friends- Kami, Hailey, and Gia. After the game Hailey and Kami went to watch a movie with Hailey's new man, so naturally Gia and I go looking for some fun and we found it!

We ended up going to a lone peak party. Yes you read that correctly. We went to the enemy team! But don't worry we spent the entire time standing up for our school and taking pictures..but we had to meet people from LP so we have someone to show off our victory to!
